The following table lists the possible errors in the transmittal report and recommended solutions:. A linked file that can't be found during the transmittal process is unloaded in the host model. The recipient will need to reload the link when the file is available. The recipient will need to change the file name and edit references, for example, links, keynotes, and decals.

Even if you manually include the file in the transmittal package, the recipient will need to reload the link in the host model. These reports are stored in the same folder as the transmitted files. A file with the same name but a different path has already been transmitted. The first file is transmitted successfully, but the second file cannot be transmitted. Manually send the second file, if required. Its linked files will not be transmitted. The file is one of the following: Revit release or earlier Corrupt Revit Server locked file. If you want the linked files to be transmitted, upgrade the file to Revit , and run eTransmit for Autodesk Revit again. The Revit Server could not be contacted during the transmittal process. Retry transmitting the model, or contact your Revit Server Administrator to diagnose the issue. The Revit Server file is locked and could not be transmitted.

One of the following situations occurred when eTransmit for Autodesk Revit attempted to copy the file: a user was synchronizing with Central the file was locked by the Revit Server Administrator. Retry transmitting the model or send the file manually when it is available. The file could not be upgraded because: it is corrupt a fatal error was encountered. The Purge Unused process failed, but the file was upgraded successfully.

This can be a nice timesaver when you are sharing models through the lifetime of the project on a regular basis. Now just hit the Transmit Model button and let eTransmit work its magic. The only thing left to do is share your document through your preferred method Newforma, Dropbox, etc. Now that you know of all the wonderful things this tool can do, you are probably wondering where in Revit you will need to go to locate the eTransmit add-in.

Not only does using this tool save you time, but it also adds a level of consistency to your processes leading to a more successful project. In an industry that relies heavily on relationships, trust, and competency, file sharing is so important!

You can transmit any model that has been upgraded to Revit Release or later and saved. Important: During the transmittal process, eTransmit copies the versions of the host model and linked files that are stored on disk. Make sure that you save any desired changes to your files before running eTransmit. Note: Revit Release and earlier files can be transmitted, but they cannot be upgraded and will not be checked for additional linked files.
